Ivan Antonovich Vanko, son of the defamed Anton Vanko, grew up in Russia watching as his father slowly died penniless due to Howard Stark ousting him from Stark Industries. Having spent much of his life taking care of his father and learning the science of physics from him, Ivan grew into an angry and vengeful man. No longer burdened by his father after his death, Ivan has recreated a miniature version of the original Arc Reactor and is now ready to take down Tony Stark as the deadly villain Whiplash!
